Technical Information

1 water permeability

» All the Stones are absorbant; the color darkens especially when they absorbe water, and lightens when they dry.

2 wetness effects

» When the Stones are wet, the tissue, the veins and fosssils are plain to see, when they are dry, these recede or dissappear completely.

3 bearing&binding

» Bu sure to use mechanical load-bearing and binding material for exterior coating installations.

4 The effect of the temperature at application

» Do Not install with mortar in cold weather, especially with temperatures below zero; the mortar will freze and ruin the cement and so the stone will not be fixed in place.

5 expansion

» For installations with underfloor heating, leave minute grout space, the Stones may expand when heated.

6 The effect of the wetness at application

» Before any impregnation or chemical treatment, wait fort he Stones and even the mortar under the Stones to dry completely, do not shut in any moisture or dampness during the treatment, so as to prevvent any resulting stains on the Stones.
